I bought these bedding for my pet rats because they are said to be 99% dust free and it is very important to stay dust free as rats are prone to respiratory diseases . . As I emptied these sheets, a cloud of dust surrounded me, which got into my eyes and also caused a fit of coughing. I ended up having to take the bag outside, pour some into a bucket and shake the bucket vigorously to try and blow some dust off. I had to wear a dust mask to do this, otherwise I would have suffocated. I am very disappointed with the dust because the litter itself is quite absorbent and has a nice soft texture perfect for feeding my rats. Edit/Update Scent: I originally gave the scent of this product 4 stars because it was described as fragrance free and I could not detect any odor upon first opening. However, when I started shaking it out, as mentioned above, a musty smell surrounded me along with a cloud of dust. Not quite moldy or rancid, but definitely not very good. I ended up having to throw away the rest of this huge bag because it was too dusty for my rats and gave me shortness of breath even with a dust mask on. I will never buy this product again.
