My grandfather has glaucoma and has been gradually losing his sight all his life. He's now 89 but still enjoys reading the paper - when able. I bought this for his birthday and he was quite tickled.Loves: the bright lights, the frame for standing it above the newspaper, and how light weight it is.The only concerns: I wish the legs were more sturdy. There's a random string that's supposed to be for holding it around your neck, but it seems like a complete afterthought. There's also a cord for plugging it in, but it only plugs into a USB (not into the wall) and if you want to use the cord instead of AAA batteries you have to stay close to the power source. We just did the batteries and said "forget it" about the cord. BUT with the batteries it works great and is super transportable!
