If you buy a new drive to fix cheap crap, you must immediately dechip it and solder the old chip out of the failed drive. They REALLY didn't want to be served by anyone other than Microsoft. This is for the Xbox, not the disc, the disc works as it should. Wrapping the car in a steel cage and then an impenetrable plastic wrap there was a legitimate reason to waste steel, no, no, there wasn't. No wonder the RROD plague broke out. The Xbox 360 system designers created the WORST physical product possible despite the decent hardware of the time.
