For the record, I don't have protective cases/hard cases with my controller, so I don't know if they will fit. What I do know for sure is that the standard gamepad fits the molded tray very well and this case feels solid in terms of drop protection. If you plan to pack your controller, I would recommend getting a more durable protective case. This case holds some weight around the edges where the zipper is, but the middle is made of softer material and if you leave something heavy on it, it can still damage the controller inside. An effective protective cover for the gamepad for the price. . This is not an elegant or trendy look; In fact, this is a large glasses case that the gamepad fits in. Inside there is a small grid where you can put documents or something similar. It won't win awards for its looks, but it gets the job done and makes you think it's worth $15 in damage prevention if you drop it with a gamepad in it. Pay more if you want a tough, hardened case.
