Review on Setpower TC35: Portable Freezer Fridge with Wheels -4℉ to 68℉ for Truck, Van, RV Road Trip & Outdoor Activities by Miro Dadee

Inexpensive but with disadvantages

I already had a 20 liter 12 volt fridge freezer but wanted something bigger. Between this 37 liter block and the 20 liter block I was hoping I could find food for a week when I go on holiday. It fits the bill, but it took a lot of trial and error to figure out what temperature to set. That is too. I want a fridge at 34 °. It doesn't seem possible. I have found that setting it at 24° keeps the internal temperature between 32° and 39°. A little higher - and it drifts over 40°, a little lower - it will be below freezing. However, I had to bring it below 20° for the water to freeze. A setting of -4° brings it closer to 0°. In comparison, my other fridge (CIGREEN) keeps the internal temperature within 1° of the thermostat with no significant drift. So this SetPower block is a bit disappointing. One of the positive aspects of this block is that it has fairly thick insulation. Nobody freezes outside. My CIGREEN sweats and forms a puddle on the floor. Haven't decided yet whether to keep it or not. I might try another brand to see if I can find something with a more reliable thermostat.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
