I first bought the Electrohome Signature, it looked great but sounded terrible. This Teac sounds outstanding and Aux input/output open it up to attach additional devices. For example, there is no place to attach a 2mm patch cord to plug in and play music from your phone (kinda dumb, why not have built in Bluetooth), so I ordered a 20 dollar Esinkin Bluetooth Audio Adapter that plugs into the right/left aux rca input allowing me to play music from my phone wirelessly. This unit also looks nice and is heavy with very nice acoustic output (and if you need more, you can always attach amplified speakers). The unit played my old tapes from the early 80's first time with no problem, as well as vinyl from the 1970's no problem and again the acoustic output was extremely rich and full with ample volume. The CD player sounded equally as good, albiet with a noticeable broader acoustic rage. The radio comes with both AM and FM antennas and picked up signals well with great audio output. The remote is good, though a little on the big side I suppose, it's comfortable in the hand with well distributed and spaced button controls. I've not tried any of the media copy and conversion features; the built in USB to PC sounds great but I just want to play music from tapes, records, CD's. and my phone, and if that's what you want to do too, this is a great quality choice, just don't forget to order the Bluetooth adapter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016NUTG5K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) if you plan to stream music wirelessly from your phone.
