Item arrived on time and well packaged. This holder works great. When I first looked at this flat 3m tape mount, it looked a bit flimsy; and it's really thin and looks like it's going to break. I'm assuming it was manufactured to be cut to fit the final installation location. I determined where it would go (I chose a flat slanted position on the center arch. I cleaned the area, peeled off the 3m tape and placed it in place, once in place it looked clean and was VERY strong.Magnet holds the phone in place without twisting or slipping,hard braking and aggressive turning is not enough to shake it.Why only 4 stars instead of 5?moto x pure with gel cases.The Back of the phone is CURVED and the metal disc has gained Doesn't hold a curve almost like it's hardened The adhesive on the disc isn't strong enough to allow the disc to lay flat on the phone If gel coating weren't used it would this system will not work as supplied, a thicker one would require heavier tape to compensate for a less flat surface you would have to improvise I would like to see the manufacturer had a more pliable disc or additional sponge tape. Performance: It exceeded my expectations and deserves 5 stars.
