As a USB hub I have had no problems with this product and would recommend it. As a card reader, I just could NOT get it to work on my Windows 10 machine. Since it was "nice to have" I decided the hub feature was the most important so I wouldn't risk returning/closing it substitute. But it annoys me when something doesn't work. For weeks I've plugged/unplugged, rebooted, plugged/unplugged cards, searched the web for drivers, all to no avail. Just for fun, I took an old Win 7 machine to try it out and the card reader worked (but I didn't use the hub slots). I still can't go back to Win 10 device. As a last try, I figured there MAYBE not enough power (although I doubted it), so I connected an external power supply (micro USB 5V connector). The reader is in operation! It still worked after turning off the external power supply. In the last half hour it has survived a number of tests (reboot, card insertion/ejection etc.) and works without external power supply with connected USB devices and a card reader. Maybe it will drop out again in a few hours? :-)
