This was the perfect finish for the 4runner after welding the high-flow muffler to the stock system. . Without the resonance peak, the exhaust tended to produce a "booming hum" at light throttle positions and low rpm. It smoothed out that stain and made the cabin less sonorous overall, but best of all is the "polished" sound now delivered by the Hooker Aerochamber muffler on the outside of the car. It sounded a bit 'rough' on overdrive with an odd 'buff-buff-buff' sound at idle and now sounds perfectly balanced with a deep blab-blab-blab-blab-blab, but smooth and hoarse with a little Mumbling at idle. I hope that makes sense. Poor (-1 star): Mounting screws look weird when fully unscrewed as they protrude about 1 inch from the tube. I plan on welding it to get rid of the weird looking stud on the outside.
