You really do get what you pay for with this hat. Likely most people reading this review know Stormy Kromer products for their quality amd this is no exception.Northern winter are brutal and the wife and I walk everywhere whenever possible. The pictures are from one of those cold wet snowstorms after about 5 miles of walking. My coat (north face non waterproof) was drenched outside and it was starting to get into the down filling, yet this hat was still dry as a bone one I shook off the snow. The fur got wet and matted by about mile 3 but still kept my head quite warm in 25 mph (40kph) winds.If you are truly going to be in the cold and need a warm hat that will do its job, no questions asked, get this hat. If you are just going from your car to your office, there are much cheaper choices that will suit you just fine.
