USB powered, AC adapter not included. Works with any phone charger or other USB power source. There is a built in power switch and dimmer to set it up for whatever room it is in. I have the brightness at about half and leave it on all the time. The light does not heat up at all. The charger gets warm, but has been working without problems for several days. Does not flicker and the light is very even throughout the sign. The sign is two-tone and mounted on high-quality acrylic. There is a hole on the top and it only needs a screw or nail to fix it on the wall. The power cable is white and almost invisible, especially at night. The shield is almost 19 inches high and about a foot wide. Good size and everyone who sees it just loves it. It's a little random but I love having it on my playroom wall. Provides good ambient lighting and consumes very little power. Good product, no complaints.
