I might have gotten a lemon but I'm sending the belt back and trying a different brand. On my first attempt to put the strap on, the threads at the end of the plastic ratchet points came loose. That doesn't sound too bad now that it's down and out of sight. However, this small thread is enough to hook the metal part of the ratchet, meaning the strap will not come loose from the ratchet (like a boa constrictor). to take it off. God help you if it was tight when all this was happening!
