Choose this straightener for African/American hair types. I was rather disappointed. The only comment is that it softens the hair. The iron was plugged in and had enough time to heat up properly. I squeezed all my hair. Each section was accompanied by a twist to allow the hair to stay in place. Then I release the twist for another round of presses. I noticed that the hair was pretty much the way it was before going through this process. The second round made no difference in straightening coarse hair. Anyway, I oiled and twisted my hair and let it sit overnight. In the morning he looked a bit longer. This electric comb is not what I'm used to. It looks the same in terms of teeth and overall design. I am not excluding this product or want to discourage you from purchasing it here. In my estimation, this is more for people with softer hair types. Or maybe for human or heat resistant hair. This rating is based on my personal experience.
