I actually used this to hold the frames on the shelves.

I sell at events . The shelves are quite small and my framed items come in multiple sizes. I attached it to hooks on either side of my boards and it was flexible enough to place frames behind and strong enough to keep them from falling off.

Pros

Convenient to use: each roll has a little gap on the edge, you can put the end of the rope into the gap after use, convenient for you to find the rope next time, will not ruin it
