Review on OXO 1071567 Cheese Replaceable Multicolor by Mack Douglas

Avoid like the plague. While I've had great success with XOX before (including my previous OXO cheese slicer which lasted 4 years), something has changed in the quality department. It only took a few weeks for the cutting wire on this cheese cutter to start kinking and bending probably because it was CONSTANTLY coming loose from the cheese cutter and I was not accepting it before the end of the 2 because the wire broke and more bars weren't accepted. OXO ships extra cables, but what if you do it all over again with a new cable? I do not think so. I went back to the standard $9.99 all-metal cheese slicer, which is a lot cheaper than this pup and I expect it will last a lot longer.
