I bought this beard balm for my teenage son who is still growing a beard and mustache. This makes him look rather carefree, his hair spreading in all directions. I personally think he should shave it off, but he really wants to grow it out. So I decided to buy him some beard balm hoping it would help tame his beard and mustache and make it look more handsome and groomed. It's a small jar but looks like it will last a long time. It's a little hard in the glass, but softens fairly quickly with some heat. Honestly, it's about the consistency I expect from a balm. You really don't need much of it to work effectively. You don't have to spend too much time working with it and it feels light once you apply it and while you can tell by the feel that there is some product in it, it's not an uncomfortable feeling. It's non-greasy and not hard, leaving no sticky crust. It keeps his facial hair under control for most of the day and seems to rinse off well. We both think he smells really good. This is a very pleasant scent of cinnamon and cloves that we both like. He didn't notice any tingling, but if you're allergic to cinnamon (and he's not), you might want to try a different flavor. The aroma is noticeable, but I wouldn't say it's overpowering.
