As with any special needs product it could be a hit or miss. This one was better than average for our 5 year old. She’s big for her age and we got the small, I’m glad we went with that size as it is perfect for her. My typical 2 year olds love playing around in it too. Perfect thickness. Buttons are just the right amount of security. Not unsnapable so the child doesn’t risk strangling themselves, but not so easy to snap that you find yourself constantly having to resnap it for them.
