YITAHOME: An Unsatisfactory Shopping Experience for International Customers

As a non-native English speaker searching the internet for home goods, I came across YITAHOME, and I couldn't wait to give it a try. My experience, unluckily, was not a good one in any way. The website was difficult to navigate, and the procedure of checking out was murky. In addition, the "high-quality goods" that were promised were not fulfilled by the products that were sent to me. The furniture was of low quality, the few storage solutions were badly planned, and the living room decorations were devoid of any sense of style. My attempts to get help from customer service were hampered by the language barrier, which made it difficult for me to convey the nature of my concerns in an efficient manner. YITAHOME is not a retailer that I would suggest to other international customers in general.

Pros
  • An easy to use website.
Cons
  • Customer service language hurdles for non-native English speakers.
