Perfect fit for my 2012 Tacoma 4WD TRD. The exchange took less than 20 minutes. The tire does not need to be removed. It's a fairly tough, durable plastic that I expect will last the life of the car. The building blocks were as flexible as cloth. I'm surprised they lasted so long (@9 years, 2 were torn, 1 was missing). Notes: a) One plastic push rivet was broken and the other was missing. A few old ones saved - get ready. b) The rivet shank is a bit small (narrow) for the holes provided, but seems to be holding. However, they can wobble and vibrate.
