These do the job they claim to do by allowing 2 shoes to take up the space of just 1 shoe; and they even work for books if you have them at their max setting. But they are kinda flimsy and fussy to put together. Since they are basically static after putting together, that shouldn't be an ongoing issue. If your shoes on your closet floor are needing some organizational help, these will do the trick for 20 pairs of them.
