LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I know you might be wondering why the idiot is right? I take a super hot shower and don't even realize it's hot. I know they are hot just because they make me blush and when my husband jumps after me he screams. So before our baby was born 7 weeks ago I ordered this to complete my baby registry (nobody bought it for us, we probably thought it was an unnecessary gadget.) But they were sooooo wrong! This is an amazing baby bathing invention! What I really like is that the whole gadget is automatic. I don't have to turn anything on or off. I don't have to press any buttons or calibrate anything. All you have to do is put it in the bathtub and hear the beeps or read the temperature. HOW IT WORKS: It turns on automatically when it enters the water. and turns off automatically when you take it out of the water (AWESOME!). It will beep the first time so you know it's on. After that, it will beep when the water temperature is outside the range of 90-100 degrees. My only complaint is that it's a little bigger than I thought it would be. I use it in the Fisher-Price Whale Playtub and it fits easily in the large base (even with a baby in the tub). Aside from using it to fill the tub for the first time, I also use it when I'm getting ready to wash my baby. I put it in most of the whale bath and before I pour water on it, I know it's the ideal temperature. This set also includes a cute little cup that slowly sprays just the right amount of water to either rinse off your baby or keep them warm while bathing. Although children's books and websites advise checking the temperature of the water on the inside of your arm. , it's hard to know if it's too cold or too hot for a baby. The reason I like to have an accurate temperature is because I assume the baby is 98.6. So if I get the water anywhere near that temperature, I know it's going to be perfect. When I bathed the baby for the first time I didn't use it because I was already overwhelmed by the baby and I think he was cold. But now I rely on this gadget and he's been a happy bather ever since.
