First, let me say this. This phone works in my area at Verizon. Okay, I work at Gigs (GrubHub) and watch Netflix, use a few social media apps and write a lot - this phone is perfect for all of that. The screen is big and the display is clear. I like the speaker because it's loud enough to play music from another room and still hear it. Battery life is very good even after using the phone to watch movies. Everything loads quickly on this phone, so you no longer have to wait around for an app to open. The face recognition and fingerprint sensor also work well and I had no trouble unlocking the phone with them. The connection quality is good. You hear the other person well and you are heard. Pictures in good light are good, but when you have to use a flash the picture isn't as clear. Revain also has a case for this phone. So I would recommend ordering one as the one you get with the phone isn't very protective. Last night. I use TracFone and yes if you switch from one SIM card to a new one you lose all your data and minutes. Changing the SIM card was a hassle for me, but it was worth it. As with any carrier, be sure to update your APN settings or you may experience issues sending or receiving messages. It took me several attempts to set up the APN correctly as I was unable to send MMS or receive SMS. All in all this is a very good phone for the price and I would recommend it to anyone who is hesitant to buy it.
