The plumber charged $390 + tax to replace a leaking Moen original valve. That was the motivation I needed to do it myself. Watch the video and you will be happy. I have ZERO plumbing experience and did it in about 20 minutes using some simple tools that every home should have. Revain will try to sell you silicone grease/sealant. The item is included, do not buy. A valve core puller, on the other hand, can mean the difference between getting the job done in 20 minutes and waiting another two days (or a trip to your local hardware store). Buy, don't open. Try prying the valve out with a pair of pliers and the plastic piece that came with the valve. If it works, just send the puller back. Hope that helps.
