Moen Banbury: this collection is a hit

I bought this Moen hand shower to match the set of Moen "Banbury" bath/shower fittings with matching accessories (toilet paper holder, ring for towels) which has not yet been installed. , etc.). I first bought a Moen Banbury faucet for my sink and after being impressed with the design and overall craftsmanship I decided to purchase the entire Banbury collection to refresh my home's master bathroom. As a Waterpik owner I didn't want to do without a hand shower when upgrading, so I was thrilled to find this Mediterranean Bronze 5 Spray Hand Shower to match the balance of my collection. What I didn't expect, despite having bought everything but this hand shower from a hardware store that had part of the collection on display, was that the Moen packaging contained unexpectedly cheap products. If only the extension hose on this handheld showerhead is plastic, as others have pointed out, I could live with a small cost savings here or there. However, to my disappointment, the Banbury bath/shower set that is sold is made entirely of plastic, with the exception of the shower on/off button and the metal handle on the bath spout, which is simply painted to look like oil. polished bronze! Nothing about the Moen display I've seen in the store or the packaging of this product suggests that for the price - considering that "Mediterranean Bronze" is the most expensive choice among Banbury finishes - is an artificial metal that feels very cheap. will be the end result of a modernization or renovation project. If you buy this particular hand shower, it's adequate but not fantastic. The range of hand showers in this finish isn't as limited as it used to be, meaning that just because it bears the name of other products in this collection (indeed, products labeled "Oiled Bronze"), a purchase isn't absolutely necessary " also probably go well with Moen's "Mediterranean Bronze"). If you are purchasing this Moen hand shower because you are planning a refurbishment/renovation in Banbury where you are hiring a plumber or contractor to install the fixtures STOP NOW. Don't be like me and buy the entire collection, leave them in boxes unopened while you wait for the plumber or contractor to work with you on his/her busy schedule. Before you get sucked in by an expensive installation, break open the Moen boxes and take a look to get a feel for what the materials look and feel up close. So Moen seems to be taking advantage of the fact that many customers A) let their contractor/plumber choose a product (mistake), B) buy "invisibly online" without access to the exact descriptions, or C) leave the contents in the unopened package with anticipation of a scheduled meeting with a plumber or contractor only to find out too late (discovered) that the materials/quality are not the same in this collection, which leaves a lot to be desired for the price.
