They're not as thick as I'd like, but they fit right, have a good stretchy fit but not too loose , so that they do not slip under other clothing. They're not 100% cotton, but that's undoubtedly why they're cheaper. And as a bonus, my son thinks they are for ninja spies because they are so comfortable even when sneaking or kicking the roundhouse and they are pajamas that can also be worn under clothes all day. I had to argue with him about taking them off so I could wash them. I haven't had them in a while so I don't know how they will last, but he'll outgrow them by next winter anyway.
