For those who don't like their fingers wet/dirty. This product was recommended to me by a hardware store employee. My old method was to use a damp finger and smooth out. After using this product once, I went back to my old method. New doesn't always mean better, I guess. I found my old method to be easier, faster and gave me much more control over the final smoothing process. Old School FTW is here. Don't get me wrong, the product works and will work as advertised, but you can get a much better end result with a disposable cup of water and some paper towels. If you are picky and don't like getting your hands dirty, I would recommend this product. If you're much more interested in the end results, I'd suggest my old method.
