I needed a thin piece of foam to stretch the keyboard the full length and curve over the edge of my desk to cushion my wrists a bit. I used two foam mouse pads but they aren't big enough and keep slipping. This piece of foam is perfect for my needs. It's even long enough to extend past my keyboard and offers a large "mouse pad" area, which in turn extends down from the edge of my desk to provide a little cushion for my wrist when I use the mouse. There's a few inches of extra length that I'll probably trim if I use it long enough to be sure of what size I want.
