Spacious and very durable backpack

I've finally worn out my old white IKEA backpack, which was the perfect size and had lots of storage space. Aimed more at students, it had built-in pen/accessory organizers that were eventually repurposed, but it did everything I needed: carry work clothes and tools, sometimes carry a laptop or tablet, sometimes carry guitar gear to rehearsal groups. Arkose backpack because it looked sturdy and they talked a lot about how good the zips are in marketing. I can say with certainty that it is very durable and has good zippers! The material resembles coated synthetic canvas and feels very durable. Sufficient padding on the back and shoulder straps. The seams are designed for durability. Don't worry about durability or carrying heavy gear. The main compartment features 2 large vertical pockets for storing tablets and 15" laptops. I managed to fit a 15" Microsoft Surface Book 3 in the inside pocket, but the opening in the back pocket is too narrow (perhaps for tablets). Many places have zips and storage pockets, some less visible than others. I really like being able to lay things out and organize my gear and am very happy with what Urs has created. The main compartment is separated from the lower compartment by a zip, so these compartments can be combined into one extra large compartment. Carefully. You advertise by carrying your canteen in your backpack with your technology. Do not do that. Containers can leak, seals can break, condensation can form. Do not carry liquids near your laptop or tablet. The lack of external eating pockets is a failing for an otherwise well-designed and well-executed backpack. Will be updated after long-term use if there are problems. I'm curious how well the light colored fabric will hold up, but time will tell. value is wise. when carrying expensive gear. You need a reliable backpack. It seems to be a very reliable backpack.
