One mistake I noticed for the first time when programming the newly purchased hand-held transmitter was that I didn't include my old hand-held transmitter in the procedure and it no longer works! If you have an old key fob and you are adding this you will need to turn on the old key fob in step 4 and press the button on all of them in this step so they will all be reprogrammed to work with your car! I ran the procedure again this way and all three of my fobs (including the old one) worked. Also, as an addon, you need to be quick and complete the process within the allotted 10 seconds for it to work.
