The idea for her and the video convinced me to buy one each for my wife and I. But after trying to use them, I found that they weren't quite as advertised. First, if you have an external case on your 15-16-inch MacBookPro, you run the risk of the pressure point being too wide for your hands to "squeeze" the sides sufficiently. laptop, allowing the laptop to "sag" to one side, which in turn twists the edge of the stand and tips the entire assembly over. But even with thinner cases (as the description claims this stand supports) the stand just doesn't work. I don't have a clear view of the laptop as I would have expected from the video. I suspect they will work better with the 13" MBP and 11" MacBook/Air models, but without testing them I can't be sure. I think there is an underlying physics at work here that makes heavier laptops less suitable for use with these stands.
