Review on MICHELIN Latitude Tour HP 255/55 R19 111W summer by Adam Borkoski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

Departure on these tires (Honda CR-V III, manual transmission) for more than 60 thousand km. (from Hong Kong to the Black Sea and to the Urals). Worn almost to zero. There were never any punctures (!). On long trips, a loaded car (and good gasoline) consumption is 7.0-8.0 (depending on driving style and speed limit). I wanted to switch to ContiPremiumContact-5 (-2) after the wear of this rubber. I had experience with this rubber on other cars. But Continental does not have dimensions 225|65 R17, so I will buy the same ones from Michelin. Alternatives (for asphalt and my preference for this car) I do not see.

Pros
  • Very good handling on dry pavement. Sufficient hydroplaning resistance. Quiet. Well balanced. With a loss of tire pressure, you may not even notice such a moment - i. E. reinforced sidewall.
Cons
  • There is a "rutting" when it hits one . At a speed of more than 100-110 km / h (and especially in the rain), it can be thrown out of it. Recommendations - hold the steering wheel firmly in your hands, get out of the rut at small angles. Rubber is not for mud and mud. I don’t consider the sticking of small stones in the tread to be a disadvantage, but the realities of this tread pattern (small sipes).
