If you have a curved bumper you may want to purchase a special panel mount designed for your vehicle. I attached this bracket to my Honda Pilot. When I tightened the two mounting screws, the bracket was flexible and curved to match the curve of the bumper. This new curvature on the bracket caused the 4 screw holes on my plate to not line up with the holes on the plate bracket. I had to loosen the plate mount a bit until it stopped flexing towards my bumper to align the screw holes in the plate mount with my plate. The advantage of this bracket is that when the plate is mounted, the fixing screws associated with the bumper are hidden and the 4 screws fixing the plate are hexagonal screws that require a special hexagonal wrench to remove. This way your license plate is safe and difficult to steal from your vehicle.
