The barbs themselves are very short, and if that was the only issue may not be a problem. 3/8 barb with brand new 3/8 hose took no effort what so ever to put on. While using a worm camp no amount of tightening would keep the hose from slipping and pulling off. Too short and the barbs are rounded. I can put the 3/8 hose on an old 5/16 barb and tighten without issue. I tightened using different clamps, both to the point of cutting into the hose and it still pulled off without much effort. I would not recommend, especially if using for fuel line. Don't waste your time or money with this garbage.
