Review on Hiboy VE1 PRO/ECOM 14 Electric Scooter: 31-Mile Long Range, 22Mph Speed, Folding Commuter Fat Tire Electric Scooter For Adults by Lance Gunn

Great step up for commuting

I'm coming to this scooter from the Hiboy S2 Pro scooter and it has been a great improvement for my daily commute. The larger wheels deliver a smooth ride, the faster speed shortens the ride, and the improved range means I have to charge up less.It was quick to assemble and ready to go in 15 minutes. You just need to attach the handlebars, clip two wires together, mount the front light with 1 screw, and install the front wheel. The overall fit and finish of the scooter are excellent too.Once you're up and riding, the ride quality is excellent too. My commute takes me down some rougher roads, and the larger wheels absorb the bumps much better than the other scooters I have ridden. The scooter deck is a little shorter than others to give room to the larger wheels, but the extra width means it is still comfortable to stand on. The large motor gives the scooter good acceleration which is great when you are riding with traffic.Because of all the improvements over your more standard electric scooter, the VE1 Pro is a bit larger in size and heavier than the S2 Pro I am used to, but the extra speed, smoother ride, and longer range are worth the trade off. I would just recommend anyone that might need to take this up stairs or carry it through a building look at getting a carrying strap.Overall, I would definitely recommend if you are looking to take a step up from the more typical scooters available out there.

Pros
  • Notes: Recently, due to the brand LOGO upgrade, the product with pure white Hiboy or red & white Hiboy are both authentic products from HIBOY.
Cons
  • The throttle control can feel somewhat jerky and imprecise
