Review on 📺 DirecTV 8-Way Wide Band Splitter: Enhanced SWM LNB Connectivity Solution by Andrew Dinelli

I combined this splitter with https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BBDHXLO/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_64 The splitter was probably overkill because it is limited to 8 active tuners . The number of tuners does not correspond to the number of cable runs required. With SWM, each cable can support multiple tuners. In the case of Genie, one cable supports 5 tuners. That leaves only 3 out of 8 tuners open. My old setup had 3 HDDVRs with two HR21-HR24 tuners. I had to decommission two old tuners in order for the Genie to function properly. With SWM enabled, only one cable is required to use both tuners on the HR24 and the B-band converters must be removed. Every wired genius uses the connection on this splitter, so right now I'm using 4 ports on this splitter. Don't listen to DirecTV when they tell you you can't do it yourself. This takes some work, but it's very doable.
