This is a very well made optical cable with a heavy jacket for protection. I installed a second sound bar in my shop and supplied it with this 35 ft optical cable from a powered optical splitter. Everything worked perfectly and the sound is good quality, however it is a cheap sound bar installed in a workshop, and I am not a sound aficionado, so take that for what its worth. I am baffled by the "gold plated" ends on it as this is optical and no electricity passes thru this cable, but it certainly does not detract from it at all.
