Bought with mixed feelings. I've shaved with older (1920's-1930's) razors as well as more modern (1970's and older) razors for many years, so I know what a close and aggressive shave is. most TTOs. Reviews said the razor wasn't as aggressive as other TTOs, while other reviews said it was very aggressive. Because of the great value I decided to buy one and see where it landed on the shaving scale. WOW, he's aggressive! Without the styptic pen, I might have bled to death before I finished shaving. My skin is soft and my beard isn't very rough, so this razor with recommended Parker blades will rip your face off at the slightest jab and at every wrong angle. It works well on flat areas and leaves that part of the face smooth, but curves, chin, under the nose, upper lip - be prepared for bleeding. Can I recommend this shaver? Not for those with soft skin or a light mustache unless you want a very close shave and bleed if you press hard. Yes, if you're looking for a very close shave and have rough skin that doesn't want it to rip out of your face.
