I bought these to wear over skin tight touchscreen gloves. In and of themselves they are not very fat. So they are not very windproof; It's a compromise as it allows your skin to breathe. It depends more on how cold the day is. I used to buy and make my own fingerless gloves. They always stretched too quickly and came loose. Your haircut is really good. I'm sure they will wear out over time but seem a cut above other cotton gloves for the same price. I will probably buy these again. I don't think anyone looking to use them as a solo pair will be disappointed, but in windy weather or freezing temperatures you'll want something heavier.
