I bought this when I was having a puppy and it was probably the best investment I have ever made. This is perfect for him (he's a Maltese fighter and weighs just 7lbs). I took the large size because I knew he would want more space. I kept him in there all the time until he was potty trained, but since he's quite a bit potty trained I keep the doors open for him all the time. It has become his room and he sleeps in it on his bed and I keep his bowls in it. It is very easy to clean up if something spills on the floor. It scratches the mesh but has never broken or torn. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who has a small dog (I've heard larger breeds can handle it but like I said I've had no problems with it). I had a bit of trouble with the folding, but once I remembered how to do it, it was very easy (basically pushing the walls together so the rubber band holding them sticks out the side, forming the shape of an M and it moves together). (Sorry if the description is confusing, it's hard to explain without pictures). In general I like it. Keeps my pup in check when I have chores to do and I don't have to worry about him. Update: Still using this 6 years later for my new pup. He has held up well. My new baby is a little rougher but she hasn't scratched any of the meshes. Can't recommend enough.
