This will save us from the menace of the paper straw.

tl;dr: You are great. They feel and bend like "regular" plastic straws and don't flex like paper straws. If you're short on plastic straws but don't want to contribute to plastic waste, grab these. I love nature and I love the sea. Because of this, I try to be careful about what I buy and use, and try to stick to organic produce. There are many options, but let's be realistic: nobody is going to carry metal or bamboo straws in their bag to save the environment - they will use the cheapest and best available. So we end up with paper straws all over the place in public, and frankly, it sucks. It is, and I've heard that the chemicals they use to make them bleed into your drinks, but I don't pass myself off as an internet scientist, so don't take my word for it. But these straws look and feel and can be used just like the "real thing" so I'm really hoping they become the "next thing" and that I see them in car dealerships and the like. 5/5

Pros
  • phade straws are made in the USA from PHA, a new sustainable biopolymer derived from canola oil. They are the first of their kind in the US, answering the call for a product that works like a straw but offers more environmental benefits.
Cons
  • So far so good
