Most people probably don't need to measure downforce that often, so I don't see the point of spending more than $100 on a force scale if it works well. I tested accuracy with the included weight and mine was accurate. Then I checked the downforce and found it to be in the expected range – I set it at 1.5 grams on the counterweight and the scale said 1.47 grams. The counterweight markings are never accurate (that's why you get a force scale) so that was a pretty expected result and it boosted my confidence in this scale. I was then able to fine-tune the force to exactly 1.5 grams. I really don't see any flaws in this scale. Does its job well at a reasonable price.
