As others have noted they are very bright which is exactly what I wanted for the places I placed them. If they have a flaw and others have noticed it is that they are pointing straight out of the socket and cannot be adjusted up or down. So you can't use them where bright light/glare would disturb. For example, I have an outlet on the wall about 4 feet off the floor near a door. I wish there was a night light but you would walk up to this bright light and it would hit you right in the eyes. But I've found six places where they work very well. They'll cast shadows, so be aware - but if you want to fill a 10x12 room with low light at night, this is what you need.
