The Avastor HDX PRO External Drive Enclosure has 1 primary 10Gb Type-C port that the enclosure is connected to a computer. It has a second 10 Gigabit Type-C hub port for connecting other USB devices in a daisy chain. These are high-speed interfaces with separate channels that offer excellent data transfer! The device has a built-in fan and a power supply unit. Simply move/connect the power and data cables. High-speed interface transfer allows the drive to transfer data at its original capacity without being limited by the interface. Great enclosure for my Seagate 12TB hard drive, which I use to back up my Windows Server 2016 Highly portable, USB 3.0 Gen 2 (10Gbps). It's easy to take the drive offline (closes any remaining open OS file traps) using Windows Computer Management and then disconnect with USB device removal to prevent data file corruption during drive shutdown/disconnect impede. I plug/unplug this drive for backup purposes, not always online in case of malware, ransomware, fire, etc. Steven F. Sutherland
