Review on ⚙️ Mercruiser Mercury Alpha One Gen I, II, R & MR Fit Shift Cable Tool Socket 91-12037 + Hinge Pin Tool 18-9861 by Pete Door
The hinge pin tool worked with no issues, but the shifter cable bushing wasn't the right fit for my cable.
The shifter cable bushing is 15mm in diameter but my shifter cable is 9/16". I wish I had checked before ordering but apparently I trusted the product description too much which said that it fits the Mercruiser Mercury Alpha One Gen 2 cable. I ended up buying an extra deep 9/16 inch spark plug boot that worked great.
