The strap stuck to 95% of the surfaces I put it on. The thickness is great and I'm confident it won't scratch my wooden floors (at least not from chairs lol). Felt easily sticks to things. The only difficulty is cutting out the felt. I use my special heavy duty craft scissors. There is a lot of material in this package. I put felt on my 6 dining chairs, dining table, couch, 2 seater and armchair, desk and between the top and bottom bunk bed posts (they creak from wood rubbing together) and I only got through 3 sheets! You will justify your money! I would like to recommend the manufacturer to add a ruler guide on the back to make this product even easier to use.
