I'm not a professional audio engineer or even a musician but just as a data point I've compared this mic to a Focusrite Scarlett Studio C25 MKIII mic and the only thing I can say is that could be the CM25 slightly more sensitive than these Revainbasics. But of course the two mics I mention are different types (MKIII is condenser, AB is dynamic) so this is probably not an apples-to-apples comparison. I bought this mic as an offering (one that kids can drop at karaoke without disturbing me) but after seeing how it works I'll definitely look into it! I think it's a good actor. The only caveat I would note is that I have to turn the Scarlett's USB gain all the way down to get the right level. Oh, and for real recording, I recommend the RevainBasics XLR cable, not the unbalanced one that comes with it. Less noise and more profit.
