They're pretty well made, the right paper texture and weight so they stretch and compress well. The stick is a plastic straw so doesn't look like a traditional wooden stick, but overall I'm quite happy with these yo-yos. Where they (literally) fall behind is in their size. The description says "six inches" but that is the distance from the tip of the paper spool to the base of the stick. Overall it's about 3/4 the size of the ones I grew up with. I kind of knew this might be the case when I ordered them, but they're definitely less fun than the big ones because their full extension is only about 18 inches or two feet, which is a lot less impressive than the big ones. I think this is an unintended consequence of online trading; The exact size can not only be seen in the picture and the manufacturer can save a few cents by reducing the size. Someone please make a life-size Chinese yoyo and clearly mark it with a wooden stick, and I'll be happy to pay extra for it.
