Excellent Coffee Maker - Just Be Sure To Purchase the Extended Warranty

This coffee maker is nearly perfect, but mine only lasted about 16 months. Fortunately I purchased the 4 yr protection plan along with it. If you factor that additional cost in, it's still a great deal. I liked it enough I'm still giving 4 stars even though it quit working. (since it was a really painless process to get refunded for the original, I'm buying another today) It would be an easy 5 stars if it lasted a bit longerPros:* Carafe is virtually spill proof* "Keep warm" feature has adjustable time up to 4 hours* Removable water tank is great if (like me) you just use tap water. You can sit it in the sink and let it fill while you multi task and get the coffee in, etc* Even if you don't want to use the sink, the large removable lid on the water tank makes for super easy filling* built in coffee scoop is nifty if it's the proper size for you* overall looks nice and reasonable qualityCons:There's really just one thing I didn't love about it.* the buttons are stiff enough when pressing that you can't easily use one hand as you'll likely end up pushing the entire coffee maker backwards as you press. I find myself having to hold the top of the coffee maker to secure it as I press the buttons. This may just be my individual unit, or maybe my counter is slicker than most.Obviously, the fact that it only lasted a few months past the manufacturers warranty is also a con, but again, if you factor in another $10 or so for the 4 yr plan, it's still a good coffee maker.

Pros
  • The coffee maker is easy to use, with an intuitive control panel and simple instructions
Cons
  • Susceptible to power outages during brewing.
