This is my first time using a mini portable air conditioner so I didn't know what to expect and how much. Initial Thoughts I thought it was cool that it came with a remote control because if you get hot and uncomfortable while it's plugged in, you can always turn it on without getting up. So I tried these two options: 1) without adding water or ice cubes 2) with adding ice water. Oddly enough, the first method still forced the cold air out, but you can surmise that the addition of ice water made the cold air colder. Now for other options, in case something happens to the remote (lost or broken) there are buttons on the unit. The buttons are touch buttons, which I think is really cool, because the touch buttons break or get stuck, it's difficult to use, but you don't have to worry about that. You can also turn on the night light function, which shines enough to provide a little light at night without disturbing your sleep. Finally, there's also a timer button that lets you set how long you want it to stay on when you go to sleep and want it to stay on all night. Just plug it in and continue your cool fun.
