It took me a while to find the right metal plate for my iPhone X and here it is. In particular, the 1.9" round metal plate is perfect for the iPhone X. I've attached two photos of my iPhone X case to which I attached it. Note that I added a metal plate to the outside of the case because I didn't want to permanently stick it to the iPhone X itself. Also note that I mounted a reading glasses case under the metal plate. (Note that the second photo shows the mounting position of the metal plate and glasses plate in the iPhone case, since my iPhone -Case is transparent.) The metal plate fits perfectly in the upper-right corner of the back of the iPhone case., next to the iPhone X's camera lens to a magnet on my car's dashboard.(Previous purchase of another metal plate led to disappointment because the plate was too small, didn't form a strong enough magnetic bond and my phone sometimes fell on the car floor while driving.) Perhaps most importantly, the metal plate does not affect the performance of my iPhone X, with a magnetic charger that I use at night. In other words, with this new metal plate, I can leave my iPhone X in its case overnight while I charge it from my magnetic charger. I believe placing a metal plate in the top corner of the iPhone X where it fits so well allows for this. I recommend this setting to anyone with a similarly sized phone.
